Back-to-school: season rich in training courses

PSGSE training: launch of the training of the 14th promotion and closing of the 13th promotion 
35 students of the 14th promotion of the Sector Policy and Education System Management (PSGSE) training, coming from 8 countries in West, Central and Southern Africa, started the training in October 2020. The launching ceremony of the training, as well as its 1st group session, were held online, from 05 to 16 October 2020. In addition, the 26 students of the 13th promotion of the PSGSE training started the final stretch of the training in November 2020. 

Launch of the new training course on the management of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) 
The first promotion of steering and management TVET training, composed of 38 executives from 7 African countries, attended the opening ceremony of the online training on 19 October 2020. The objective of this 7-month training is to improve the planning, steering and management capacities of African managers in the implementation of TVET strategies. 

IIEP-UNESCO Dakar University 2020 on gender-sensitive educational planning
IIEP-UNESCO Dakar launched in November 2020 a training course, University 2020, on gender-sensitive educational planning, in the spirit of promoting gender equality in educational decision-making, planning and management. The "Gender at the Center Initiative" (GCI), brings together States, international organisations and partners. IIEP provides technical leadership.

A short distance training course in vocational training centre management 
IIEP-UNESCO Dakar organized, from 10 November to 12 December 2020, a training course on the management of vocational training centres for the heads of vocational training institutions in Burkina Faso. This training developed in response to a request from the UNDP office, aims to improve the professional integration of the graduates of these institutions, including through entrepreneurship development.
