Training course in the management of vocational training centres in Burkina Faso.

As part of its on-demand training programme, IIEP-UNESCO Dakar is offering a training course in Management of Vocational Training Centres in Burkina Faso, from 9 November to 12 December 2020, in response to a request from the UNDP office in Burkina Faso. This training course, which brings together some thirty participants, aims to build their capacities in the management of vocational training centres so that they can play a greater role in improving the employability of their trainees, in particular by taking into account the entrepreneurial dimension in their activities to support the occupational integration of the graduates.

It is geared toward officials involved in the management of vocational training centres in the region of Ouagadougou and Bobo Dioulasso, i.e. directors, assistant directors, technical coordinators/pedagogical coordinators and heads of occupational integration units/managers in charge of relations with professionals, in addition to certain officials of the Ministry in charge of vocational training and certain actors of the private economic sector.

The training will take place 100% virtually and is composed of the following five modules:

Module 1: Analysis of the external environment of a vocational training centre

Module 2: Description and analysis of the internal environment and operation of a vocational training centre

Module 3: Use of tools and implementation of methods to manage the supply of training based on economic demand

Module 4: Types of public-private partnerships in a context of increasing autonomy of the vocational training centre

Module 5:  Implementation of the monitoring and support function for the occupational integration of graduates of the vocational training centre
